Service & Missions

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these."
- Mark 12:30–31

Loving God & Neighbors

We love God and we love our neighbors. We do this by sharing the good news that Jesus is Lord in both our words and in our actions, both locally and globally. We serve others to serve the God who made us, who loves and who has redeemed us.

Missionaries & Outreach Ministries

We support missionaries and outreach organizations throughout the world. We take seriously the Lord’s command to go into all the world making disciples. We support a number of missionaries serving locally in New Jersey, and globally in places such as Guam, Mali, and Kenya.

We also support outreach ministries such as:

  • Zarephath Health Center (Zaraphath, NJ) providing free health-care to the poor and uninsured as an example of faith in action;
  • Life Choices Resource Center serving mothers and families faced with difficult or unplanned pregnancies by providing practical, emotional, spiritual and material support;
  • Literacy & Evangelism International, teaching literacy and sharing God’s word throughout the globe; and
  • Medical Benevolence Fund, serving as an indispensable link to engage churches in the developing world to transform lives by building strong, sustainable health care ministries.

Deacon Ministries

Deacons are leaders in our church who oversee ministry to those in need in our congregation and in our community. Deacon Ministries include monthly communion set-up, home-bound communion, hospital visitation, flower delivery, Dorcas’ closet, baby’s closet, card ministry, Fish Hospitality Network Ministry, building repairs, meal ministry, prayer ministry, transportation ministry, recording ministry, all-church fellowship dinners and fellowship time. Deacons oversee the Congregational Care Fund and Community Care Fund to be given as needed to those qualifying for financial assistance.

Serve With Us

Fish Hospitality Network Throughout the Year

Several weeks per year our church hosts homeless families through FISH HOSPITALITY PROGRAM, INC. During this week our whole church comes together to transform a portion of our building into a home for parents and their children. Our congregation provides seven days of breakfast, lunch and dinner. We spend time with and care for these wonderful families that God so loved. There are plenty of opportunities for all of us to serve God by serving others through the Fish Hospitality Program. You can serve by:

  • Unloading/loading and Set-up/Clean-up on Sundays,
  • Washing sheets & towels,
  • Serving as an early evening or overnight host,
  • Providing juice, water, breakfast or snacks, or
  • Providing and serving dinner

Contact the office for more information.

"Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help. Then your salvation will come like the dawn, and your wounds will quickly heal. Your godliness will lead you forward, and the glory of the LORD will protect you from behind."
